outline

i need to formulate an outline and go from there.
all i can figure out is that the story line goes back and forth between observations, journals and historical ruminations on the types of people that have visions, and claim to hear God. this includes all types, and gets weaved into the catalyistic occurances that send me out on my road trip after i got back from scotland. 3 years ago.
4 years ago. i want to cover a few topics.
1. the connection between madness and genius
2.visions and folk art
3. the invention of meaning
4. daily life and ones observations

how can my monthly Noise stories be incorporated into this?
how would historical referencs of noted visionaries be noted?

tone? tone is casual. the historical characters are friends
