FARM JOURNAL

How Long Does It Take to Ride a Horse from Big Pine to Marshall?

So I have this idea to ride my horse to Marshall from the family farm. Why?
Because it is transportation, funny, and would be a good way of finding off road routes
amongst towns in WNC.

The farm is prolly 15 miles from downtown
Marshall .
What do I need to do to prepare?

1. Gather topographic maps
2. Get the horses used to some interaction with cars
3. Shoe Cory
4. Ask Lee Walker to build a hitching post in front of his gallery.
5. Find a trailer
6. Find a person to document

Forget the topo maps and get a GPS. Also, if your trying to do your part to save the planet by less carbon, remember that horse and cow manure is a big source of global warming.

The GPS sounds wise, but the poop comment sounds neurotic . THANKS!
