Yippee! I got a grant for a video camera to film oral histories in a History collecting project through some folks I work with at Project Challenge.
The video camera will be used to record oral histories throughout Madison County, NC.
I am excited to see this make it to the next level. The youth are already researching previous, successful oral history projects, and are selecting questions. We have made several test runs in the community. It is a great way to build critical thinking skills, curiosity, hope and community!
I am so thankful that the Madison County Rotary Club has rewarded us with this grant!
