9 AM this morning a gaggle of do-gooders descended upon Blannahasset Island when Riverlink met up with Marshall High Studios to clean up rubbish from the island's green space and river banks.
Riverlink donated trash bags, neon yellow, volunteer vests, and cool hot orange trash pincher's. The City lent us their dump trucks.
A Boy Scout troop from Hot Springs showed up, as did some guys from Stone Mountain School.
Stephanie Monson came with video camera and caught us in form. We hope she has plans for making a documentary about Marshall someday...
It felt good to get out in the Spring sunshine and do something meaningful for everyone.
