I am at McDonald's for contrast. It really is contrasty here. First of all they don't fool me with their McCafe, it's still a horrible place that makes people fat and sick. Almost every person in here is over weight, and they look sad and low income. They don't have any outlet plugs for their wireless connection either.
Contrast helps me write, but my battery is going to shut the laptop in a few minutes. The irony isn't lost on me.
It's easy to critique and be clever, but it isn't original is it? I need to work on this. Happiness can be found through letting it all go. Hopefully stories can still be written without the eye I hold.

I am thankful that McDonalds hasn't made it to Madison County yet. OUr farming region is too poor to support the sales? I don't know. There are a few mom and pop diners and a Subway sandwhich shop on the bypass. That seems to feed the sterdy folk of Marshall. I am thankful for the retardation of progress in this sense.

I, too, am thankful for the "retardation of progress" in Madison County
