Some photographs of the good people of Madison County. These were taken the night of the Marshall High Studio opening. The opening was surprising, with a festive gypsy band and wine kept in a leaky wheelbarrow. I traveled from room to room peeking in at the artists representing their craft.
I felt sad at the sight of my dark, undecorated studio. I was begining to feel the excitment of creativity again...feeling that I might be able to make.
Dan H. loaned me his large green portrait chair to which we hobbled down to my studio space and set in the middle of the room. I shut the door behind us, and we spent a few minutes in the dark room while people milled through the old hallways of the high school. It was going to be okay.

I have to say the evening lent a spark. Like flint and steel.
Life is more than surviving the tragedy of loss.

I like the arty dishevelment of these hipsters, with their stylish poses and calculated bed-heads.

Have you ever had a mustache? I don't think so, but... if your mustache grows long enough, you can swallow it (accidentally on purpose). If it's 37.5 feet long you can floss your whole digestive track with it.

I am very sceptical of this claim. Some bed heads are strictly un calculated and some mustaches, well they can be very calculated.

I remember my mom read me a fairly tail story when I was little, very very little about an Indian yogi who flossed everyday with his mustache. He never had any more body cavities. Brush and floss, floss and brush, swish and swallow.

What does all this have to do with the studios or this blog, pray tell??
